METHODS OF DIAGNOSING CANCER IN THE INSTITUT CURIE

In the Institut Curie of Paris, diagnosis of cancer is carried out using advanced MRI and CT scanners to determine the exact location of the malignant neoplasm, its size, shape, rate of development and the extent of damage to surrounding tissues and organs. In the Curie Cancer Center, a unique, highly accurate molecular diagnosis of childhood cancer is available that allows you to identify the genetic characteristics of tumors in order to select the most appropriate cancer treatment for each individual patient. Thanks to molecular diagnostics, even the rarest and most complex types of cancer in children are diagnosed in the Curie hospital. Every year about 4,200 outpatients and 260 inpatients from 0 to 18 years old are treated here.
 

METHODS OF CANCER TREATMENT IN THE INSTITUT CURIE

Leading oncologists of the Institut Curie clinic in Paris conduct successful treatment of breast cancer, head, spinal cord, pancreatic cancer, malignant blood diseases, liver cancer, malignant neoplasms in the kidney and other cancers of varying severity. • Target therapy - Assumes the use of drugs that affect a particular feature of the cancer cell and block it. The Curie Institut uses about 30 types of targeted therapy.
• Surgery - Patients of the clinic perform tumor removal in high-tech operating units with the help of modern safe minimally invasive methods: laparoscopic, robotic operations, interventions with intraluminal GPS navigators and improved classical methods.
